Your Child's Visits - Two Month Visit

Diet:

If more than 50% breast-fed, Tri-vi-sol vitamins daily (for extra vitamin D)

Sleep:

By two months your infant will be more alert by day.  At night your baby may still waken every 3-4 hours for feedings, but should return to sleep when finished.  Try to put your baby in the crib drowsy, but still awake so she learns to transition  to sleep on her own.

Safety:

Consider taking a class in infant CPR- ask us for recommendations.

Recommendations:

Encourage tummy time while awake
Work on establishing regular bedtime routine.
Consider introducing a bottle of expressed breast-milk occasionally- this might give you a break, and get your infant used to the bottle if you plan on returning to work or leaving your infant with a sitter.
