Your Child's Visits - Two Year Visit

Diet:

Switch from whole to 1% or skim milk- aim for 500 mg of calcium and 400 IU of vitamin D a day
(8 ounces of milk or calcium fortified orange juice has 300 mg of calcium.)
Stress good nutrition by only having healthy foods in the home.
Have healthy snacks such as yogurt, fruit, and whole grain crackers easily available for hunger “meltdowns.”

Safety:

Continue to stress water and outdoor safety.
Teach animal safety- never pet or approach an unknown animal.
