Like Dr. Jenn, I too am a transplanted New Yorker. I grew up on Long Island and have spent most of my life in New York until I moved to Connecticut in 2007. After a brief stint at the University of Michigan, my New York roots drew me back to complete my undergraduate education at New York University with a degree in psychology. I then continued my medical education at New York Medical College where I met my husband Michael Sergi. My pediatric training was done at the Mount Sinai Medical Center followed by a three year neonatology fellowship where I specialized in the care of premature and critically ill infants. Although I infinitely value my specialty training, I truly love being part of a pediatric practice where I have the opportunity to take part in the care of children of all ages.
My husband and I came to the New Haven area in 2007 so that he could continue his training in vascular surgery at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Once his training was complete we moved to Fairfield, which we now call home. I have worked in both the inpatient and outpatient settings as well as in a large, busy pediatric practice. I look forward to being part of a smaller community practice where I can get to know the families in a more comprehensive way.
When not at work, I am often in the company of my favorite toddler, Luke, and our newest addition, Liam, born in January 2011. We enjoy sports classes, playdates and cooking together.
